Although viewing things on the internet may not be on a such a personal level as types such as live performance but it does allow anyone from across the world to view it, and it does allow the audience to easily leave feedback through the use of comments.
The internet can also be a better and easier way to view shows because it is usually posted on video sharing or social networking sites, which means it is free to view, whereas in most cases of live performances and TV cost the audience money to view.
Also for performers or producers of shows it is the easiest way to show people your work, as up-and-coming or aspiring; musician, actors, film-makers, dancers, animator, artists, comedian and all other types of performers can show their work and hopefully get notices - a lot of famous and successful performer now are being found through professionals finding their work online.

An example of performers rising to fame that began online is british singer ‘Lily Allen’, she began her successful career due to her rising popularity on the social networking site ‘Myspace’, other singers such as ‘Esmee Denters’ were also decovered on video sharing websites such as ‘Youtube’.
